My name is Lage Hedstroem and I live in a town, Lulea which is situated in the North of Sweden about 100 km from the Artic Circle. I live in my own house at a suburb to Luleå as called Svartöstaden Close to Svartöstaden is the Steelwork SSAB (Swedish Steel) and INEXA Profil AB where I have been working more then 40 years as engineer. LKAB has also a harbour there they shipping ores from Gällivare/Malmberget in Lapland. My own house where I live with my 4 Norwegian Forest Cats and one Birma is built by my grandfather at 1904. I have grown up with many animals because my mother had a kennel with Pekingeser. We have also had Schäfer and some hunt dogs. I always have had Cats as long as I remember and earlier I cought Kittens wich was born by wild domestic cats. I bought my first race cat at 1973. It was a Birma male which name was Astavia´s Etho, SBIn. My first Norwegian Forest Cat was a domestic cat which was approved as NFO at Cat Show in Piteå April 1987. At Autumn this year I also bought Torvmyras Honey Favorite, NFOg 09 by Arild & Randi Grotteröd in Oslo, Norway. Honey who was more then 10 Months when she was delivered was already hot and she got 3 kitten in February 1988. Earlier I also have had 2 Birma one male and one female (1985-1992), EC Fagervikens Cesar Brown, SBIn and EC (N)Cantimo´s Birmita, SBIn. My Cats just now is: IP&EC S*Black Islands Ursula, NFOns 09 23 EC S*Black Islands Vanessa, DM, NFOns 09 23 IC S*Black Islands Celine, NFOn 09 23 S*Black Islands Dorotea, NFOas 09 23 EP S*Black Islands Trixi, SBIn I also have had EC S*Ambient Just A Beauty, NFOn 22 wich I got 1995 when her owner died in a traffic accident. But since she never was accepted by Ursula she was replaced 1999. She lives now in a family who lives in Norsjö in the north of Västerbotten and there she is very happy. Besides the cats I am also very interested in Sailing and Snowmobile Sports. Earlier I have been competed very much in Sailing with my own sailing boats and many other boats with great sucesses. I also have been competed in Snowmobile Cross and Country Cross also with many sucesses. My great interest just now is fishing Pike with tackle at Sommer and also Winter on ice when I fish Perch. At Spring and Autumn I fish Salmo trutta and Whitefish from my fishingboat with nets |
